Fran Norburn

Fran Norburn is a UK based designer for TV, Theatre and events. She is currently designing the experience for The Journey Back at SXSW in Austin.

She graduated from the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama in 2017. After graduating, Fran’s work was shortlisted for the Linbury Prize for Stage Design, 2017. In 2021, Fran was resident Assistant Designer at the Royal Shakespeare Company.

TV credits include: Willow (Lucasfilm & Disney), His Dark Materials (BBC and HBO), Creeped Out 2 (CBBC and Netflix), Bounty Hunters (Sky One).

Theatre design credits include: The Talented Mr Ripley (The Faction), The Oresteia (Chapter Arts), Spring Awakening (Theatre Royal Bath), The Butterfly Hunter (Theatr na nÓg), A Pure Woman (DorchesterARTS and Poonamallee Productions), Blue Stockings (Sherman Theatre).

Associate/Assistant theatre design credits include: The Box of Delights (RSC), The Magician’s Elephant (RSC), Henry VI: Rebellion (RSC), All’s Well That Ends Well (RSC), My Neighbour Totoro (RSC), The Box of Delights (RSC).

VR experience design credits include: The Journey's End (SXSW Austin), Battlescar (Wales Millennium Centre), In Pursuit of Repetitive Beats (Geneva Film Festival, FACT Liverpool, SXSW Austin, Wales Millennium Centre).
